about

In 1986 the Soviet Union suffered a massive nuclear
disaster when reactor 4 of the Chernobyl nuclear
facility exploded. In the days after the incident, the
Russian government began a campaign of denial and
downplayed the severity of the disaster. Thousands were
poisoned by radiation and died. In 2020 the United
States was infected with Covid 19. As cases spread, the
government lead by the Trump administration began a
campaign of denial and downplayed the severity of the
worsening pandemic. Using almost the same tactics that
the Soviets did to misinform the public about the
Chernobyl disaster, the President of the United States
carried out a campaign of denial, misinformation, and
politicized the worst pandemic in America since the
Spanish Flu. Almost 1 million Americans are dead at the
time of publication. The brand new Pittersplatter song
BIOROBOTS highlights the similarities between these two
tragedies.
